Join us to experience the warm welcome of a Chateau holiday in the spacious but comfortable setting of our sensitively restored 200-year-old stone house in Provence.

With space for 16 in the main house and an independent studio/gite with disabled access Le Colombier offers an ideal holiday location for extended families, groups of friends and reunions.

Come and discover one of the most respected wine regions of France, in the heart of a countryside that has an abundance of unspoiled picturesque villages, mountain scenery and superb local food.

The success of a holiday for a large group depends very much on the choice of venue and Chateau Colombier is ideal. We have spacious bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms,  many reception areas and extensive gardens so there are always plenty of private areas inside or out to find a quiet spot to relax.

The kitchen is generously equipped and we’ve even included the cookbook classics for inspiration and enlightenment. Whether you choose to eat in the formal dining room, the spacious kitchen or outside around long tables on the terrace beside the beautiful pool, Colombier is the perfect place to enjoy those long, lingering meals…

We’ve included those little extras that make all the difference: Wi-fi access throughout the house, a well-stocked library, dvd selection, games, jigsaw puzzles and local maps and information; all freely available to our guests.

Relax outside in the walled pool garden  and enjoy the sun or the shade under the veranda surrounded by fragrant flowers and aromatic herbs. The area is landscaped with paths, paved areas, terraces and raised beds containing a wide collection of colourful plants, climbing roses and leafy vines.

Or explore the terraced garden with its patios, arbours and permaculture vegetable and fruit garden. The swimming pool with jacuzzi has a motorised cover so it’s open April – October..

Everyone who comes to Chateau Colombier is amazed by the beauty of the surrounding area; and from there it only gets better! Our visitors say that the pictures don’t do justice to the size, the comfort, the great location, the views.

With 300 days sunshine a year, we’re open all year round. Warm and cosy in winter (wood burning stoves and full central heating), the house is cool and calm in the heat of summer. The 2-metre thick walls and the shutters provide eco-friendly climate control.

If the whole house is too large for your needs we can offer the studio/gite or chambres d’hote. It is also possible  to rent a self-contained unit within the house, Please see full details on the  Accommodation page.

The house is surrounded by lavender fields and fruit trees, and it’s just a couple of minutes stroll to the local river Eygues. This part of Provence has changed little for centuries. Life is slow and peaceful; it is a perfect place to unwind and re-evaluate the quality of your life.
